No.2 Ivy Cottage, Cornwall was stone built during the 17th Century and sits in the
tranquil, picturesque and unspoilt village of Crantock.
With its' own private garden. garage, driveway. There are two seated patio areas
where our holiday guests often enjoy sultry summer evenings with a meal and a glass
of wine to reflect upon their day's activities.
Our Crantock Cottage with original cornish beamed ceiling, sleeps 4-5 guests. Duvets,
sheets and pillows are provided free of charge to compliment our luxurious beds.
We are sure that you will find our accommodation a comfortable home from home. We
are dog friendly, welcoming well-behaved dogs to take a holiday as well (provided
they remember to bring their owners!)
No.2 Ivy Cottage is located in a prime position for visitors of all ages and interests.
We are open all year and are happy to offer short breaks during winter and spring
seasons; ideal for walkers and those who love the crisp, bracing sea air catpured
by walking along the beautiful coastal walks.
Crantock village has many thatched cottages (typical of small villages throughout
Cornwall) nestled around the famous Old Albion Inn. Nearby is the 12th Century site
of the St. Carantoc Church and behind which lie the old village stocks. Crantock
has a village store and Post Office, two inns, local art and craft shops (including
Marion Rowland's famous local art gallery), The Cosy Nook Tea Rooms and Restaurant.
No.2 Ivy Cottage is perfectly placed in the heart of Crantock village, an ideal
holiday resort for all. Just a few minutes walk to the stunning, again unspoilt
Crantock beach and surrounding headlands, much of which is National Trust protected
we are proud to open our Crantock Cottage to you. Take a short walk from No.2 Ivy
Cottage along Beach Road, where the beach can be accessed via the Crantock Beach
National Trust car park.
Immediately close to Crantock Village is Porth Joke (or 'Polly Joke'), Rushy Green,
(over which spreads a view to Goose Rock, itself preceded by The Gannel at the foot
of East Pentire from Crantock Beach), Cubert Village, Kelsey Head, Pusey's Hole,
The Bowgie Inn (on West Pentire headland, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and down
onto Crantock Beach), a spectacular coastal walkers experience.

Neighbouring town, Newquay is said to be the surfing capital of Britain. Fistral
beach is perhaps the most popular and is recognised for its national and international
surfing competitions, drawing thousands of people to the town each year.
Newquay, Cornwall which established itself as a holiday resort in Victorian times,
is still an immensly popular Cornish resort. It has an array of high-street shops,
pubs and clubs, golf courses, tropical gardens, a boating lake, horse-riding stables,
Newquay Zoo and both Somerfield and Morrisons supermarket stores, to name but a
few.
Also local to Crantock, for sports, outdoor activity and the downright thrill-seeking,
activities include go-karting, paragliding, sailing, golf and crazy golf, horse
riding, quad-biking, fishing, walking, cycling, (pick your own fruit!) Whatever
your taste, we are sure you will find what you need within easy reach of Ivy Cottage.
